According to Housing Victoria, NDIS-funded disability accommodation is divided into two key components:

Second, Supported Independent Living (SIL) refers to support services that help individuals live more independently, often in shared living arrangements. NDIS SIL funding covers the cost of support staff who assist with daily and personal care tasks that are geared towards helping community members achieve independent living goals.
Yes, SIL is covered by the NDIS. Once the participant has an approved NDIS plan, as your dedicated SIL support provider, we’ll discuss the exact support plan that you’ll receive with the approved funding.
