A disability group home is a shared home or accommodation for participants with a disability, mental illness, or a health condition that requires additional support. Our homes provide 24/7 support from our support workers who are dedicated to helping you achieve your life goals and develop key life skills in an environment where you feel supported and comfortable to do so. They create a sense of community and inclusion where your needs are accommodated whilst you navigate a new environment that allows you to progress.
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes support our participants with daily life and activities such as cooking a meal, managing daily life and completing chores. You can choose how your SIL care supports you and what you want to achieve, with many of our options including community lifestyles that you can participate in. Typically, these homes have private bedrooms and shared living spaces, where activities like game nights and movie nights are common. Ultimately, you’ll receive as much assistance as you require for things like grocery shopping, personal care, cooking and cleaning.
For temporary retreats and support services, our short-term accommodation provides temporary relief for individuals with disabilities by providing accommodation in residential houses for up to 14 days. Our staff will assist you with your daily routine and activities, whilst you get the opportunity to meet other individuals and develop your social skills. These short-term stays allow you to maintain control over your own development by choosing how long you wish to stay and how you choose to participate.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to housing setups that are designed specifically for participants with severe functional impairments and high support needs. These houses are designed to facilitate a more independent living structure whilst providing our participants with access to the support and care that they need. Our housing services are tailored to individual needs and include specific structural provisions that support our participants to achieve their goals with confidence. At 24/7 Care, we offer both individual and shared living options so you can choose what works best for you.
