Dementia Support Group
Our Executive Manager hosting a monthly dementia support group
We intend to facilitate these meetings on the last Wednesday of each month, starting at 6pm and finishing at 8:00pm.The meeting will take place at 24/7 Care Disability Support and Activity Hub between 6-8pm on last Wednesday of each month 188 – 190 Pacific Highway, Tuggerah.

If you feel you might benefit from meeting people in similar circumstances, please message us and let us know.

This will help us to know how many people to allow for.

At this point we would like only partners or carers of people with dementia to attend.

It’s important to let you know, I am not an expert in this field but I have experience in caring for people with dementia.

This group is about meeting other people and discussing your situations with each other.

It will be very informal and there will be no pressure to share your stories.

I will introduce myself and tell you why I wanted to start this support group as it’s close to my heart I lost my mum to dementia and a few years later I decided to leave my engineering career and volunteer as a career for people with Dementia this lead to me crossing paths with our Director Sarah and her team and I now form a part of the senior management team at our Activity Hub.There will be tea/coffee and biscuits.

This meeting is completely free of charge.
